Mike Taber

 

Mike Taber, Owner of Wildlife Control Technology, Inc. successfully completed the NWCOA Certified Wildlife Control Professional® program in January of 2003.  Mike has been with Wildlife Control Technology, Inc. since September of 1992.  Over the last 18+ years Mike has developed expertise in several animal damage related fields including agricultural bird control, and is the co-inventor of the NetMaster bird net application and retrieval device for the protection of crops from depredating birds.

 

In addition, Mike has extensive experience with commercial bird and bat trapping, exclusion and removal, as well as urban and rural nuisance animal trapping services for raccoon, skunks, opossum, red and grey fox, beaver, and feral cats.  Mike is also licensed by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation as a qualified applicator for pesticides, rodenticide and avicides.

 

Mike has authored and co authored technical papers on agricultural bird control techniques as well as exclusion and hazing techniques for water fowl in toxic containment basins.  The papers and technical presentations are available for reference in the proceedings of past Vertebrate Pest Conferences and Wildlife Damage Management Conferences.  Mike has had several bird and animal control articles published in trade publications such as WCT magazine, Wines and Vines magazine and Vineyard and Winery Management magazine.

 

Mike has a high school education as well as several college business courses, but no formal degree.  Mike is a California Department of Fish and Game Licensed Trapper as well as Rope Rescue 1 & 2 Certified. Mike enjoys big game and bird hunting, freshwater fishing, motorcycle riding and camping with family.  Mike has a wife of 21 years and two sons 14 and 16 years of age.
