Andy Montoney
Andy has been the State Director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services program in Ohio since 2000. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management. After graduation, he worked for the Ohio Division of Wildlife for 2 years in District 2 as a Private Lands Biologist. He began his federal career in 1991 stationed on Long Island NY. Serving as a Wildlife Biologist, his other duty stations included Atlanta City NJ, Chicago IL, and Sandusky OH.
In addition to Andy’s State Director duties, he is also on the Wildlife Services National Aviation Working Group and the Wildlife Services Firearms Committee; and serves as the Wildlife Services National Rabies Management Program Aviation Representative. He also sits on two ad-hoc committees in the Eastern Region: Livestock Protection and Double-crested Cormorant Management.
In Ohio Andy is a member of the Governors Regulating Dangerous Wild Animals Working Group; the Ohio Feral Swine Working Group; Hocking College Wildlife Curriculum Advisory Board; and OSU College of Veterinary Medicine’s Public Practice Council. He is currently President-Elect of the Ohio Chapter of The Wildlife Society. |
