Dirk E. Shearer
Dirk is a 1988 graduate of The Ohio State University. Upon graduation he received a Regular Army appointment as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army.
He is founder and President of The Wildlife Control Company, Inc. and is currently President of the Ohio Wildlife Control Operators Association (OWCOA). He also served as Region 6 Director of the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA). Dirk is a Certified Wildlife Control Professional (CWCP).
Dirk is also certified in chemical immobilization and attended the National Goose Academy and HSUS’s Humane University Program. He helped review and establish the NWCOA Euthanasia Standards. Dirk has instructed in 11 different states and had articles published in national and state trade publications.
Dirk has testified before State Legislative Committees, and works with state and municipal leaders, on matters regarding wildlife conflict.
